After uploading the database files to the webserver (not importing them, because I keep getting errors every time I try) I created a wonderful ticket to get someone from tech support to upload it for me while I was at school. Thirteen hours later and I have received no acknowledgment from them.
I'll end up making some fun phone calls, here in a bit, after I try some last resort techniques. :(
For those that don't understand the situation, or don't want to read all of the other posts to be caught up, we needed to downgrade the server to make sure that we could pay for it each month. The account was downgraded already and our old server is already marked for termination and the domains are pointing to the new server (hence database errors). After I downgraded I've had problems uploading everything from the old server back to the new server and have already attempted contacting the technical support but they have yet to respond.

So does this mean XF will be down for a few more days? I don't think I can last much longer without my XF fix :(
ReplyDeleteAlso, does this mean that all of our maps, threads and posts will be deleted?
ReplyDeleteahh man! i keep checking XF but its always down, i want to throw a party when it finally does get up JEEZ!!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds just like an experience I had with Microsoft's support line... Whoever runs the support team for At&T needs to provide lessons to others as their customer service (although it all directs to India) has been great.
ReplyDeleteI'll still be waiting though. For reverse-psychology, I wish you bad luck. :D
To whomever asked, no, you will not lose anything.
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of going to FH...hurry up PLEASE Thomas!
ReplyDeleteLets rebuilt XF right here on blogspot! Only 1,041 posts to go for me!
ReplyDeleteI also can't stand going to FH, whoever that was. At least we've got Monitor Built and Forgery Aid for the time being.
ReplyDeleteJust do the best you can Thomas. No rush, your doing this for a community. Its our privilege to be part of a group. Just do what you can.

Thanks guys, I've been working hard and from the way it looks we might be able to get it back up tonight... even if that means that I'll pull an all-nighter trying everything that I can.
